ITINERARY
DAY 1: Rio De Janeiro
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel where you will spend the next three nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this exhilarating city. With its golden beaches, lush tropical rainforest and dramatic mountain peaks, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most spectacular cities in the world. Immerse yourself in the rhythm of this vibrant city, and feel the pulse of the local people, known as Cariocas, on the beaches and nightlife of Copacabana.
DAY 2: Rio De Janeiro
Embark on a thrilling adventure through Rio aboard an open-air jeep, fully immersing yourself in the splendors of this magnificent city. Venture into the Tijuca Forest, the world's largest urban forest, where nature and history entwine. Pause at the Chinese Vista for mesmerising views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. Ascend Corcovado Mountain, graced by the renowned Christ the Redeemer statue, and revel in panoramic city and beach vistas before descending for lunch.
Continue to the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain, rising from Guanabara Bay like a traditional sugar loaf. Ascend in two cable cars for breathtaking city views. Conclude with a visit to the Botanical Gardens, home to 6,000 diverse tropical and subtropical plant species, including the majestic Imperial Palm and famed Victoria-Regia. Wander pathways alive with native bird melodies, a fitting conclusion to this cultural and natural odyssey.
DAY 3: Rio De Janeiro
Experience the essence of Brazilian culture through the Carnival, an embodiment of the nation's spirit. Rooted in history, the samba schools breathe authenticity into the annual festivities. Beyond the annual Carnival Parade, the constant backstage effort comes alive daily.
Today, you will venture into Cidade do Samba to explore the Academicos do Grande Rio warehouse on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER®Experience. Witness Carnival costumes, allegorical creations, and captivating curiosities. Guided by the spirit of Carnival, delve into the warehouse's story, uncovering the Samba's history and the Carnival Parade's evolution. Finish your day with a traditional Caipirinha toast, immersing yourself in the genuine Carnival revelry.
DAY 4: Rio De Janeiro - Iguazu
Today, you will fly to Iguazu Falls, where on arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel located on the Brazilian side of the falls. Comprising more than 275 waterfalls, stretching over three kilometres across and towering 100 metres high, Iguazu Falls is one of the great natural wonders of the world. Meeting at the borders of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay the falls are enclosed by Iguazu Falls National Park which covers a large area of tropical rainforest and is home to some of South America’s most iconic wildlife.
This afternoon you'll have the opportunity to see the Brazilian side of the falls on a walking tour. With well-designed walkways winding through tropical greenery, you will be treated to awe-inspiring panoramic views. Board the glass elevator to the highest platform for more spectacular views and photo opportunities of this majestic Brazilian side of the falls.
DAY 5: Iguazu
Today you will have the opportunity to visit the Argentine side of the falls located within Iguazu National Park. Upon arrival you’ll head to Estacion Central to board the train to Devil’s Throat station. Walk to the highest point of the falls among an abundance of nature; in this section of the rainforest you'll witness the diversity of native species the National Park has to offer, including a huge variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies. The highlight is a visit to the top of the biggest waterfall, spectacular Devil’s Throat. From the lookout platform perched right above, marvel at the power and beauty of this magnificent waterfall.
DAY 6: Iguazu - Manaus
Fly to Manaus, nestled in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. 60% of the Amazon lies within the borders of Brazil and it is the most well-known place for visiting this vast wilderness.
Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the city. Manaus is a vibrant Brazilian city. Its iconic opera house, Teatro Amazonas, stands as a cultural jewel, boasting stunning Renaissance architecture. This historic venue hosts various performances, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistic elegance within the lush wilderness of the Amazon.
DAY 7: Manaus - Amazon
This morning you'll be transferred to Ceasa harbor, where an exhilarating high-speed motorboat journey to Careiro Village awaits. Witness the captivating Meeting of the Waters, where the vibrant Rio Negro and the sandy-hued Solimões River converge without immediately mixing. From Careiro Village, embark on a chartered van expedition to Maçarico river, to board yet another high-speed motorboat, delving deeper into the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

DAY 8: AMAZON

In the afternoon, embark on a canoe adventure along the meandering igarapés, connecting with the waterways that sustain the forest's life. DAY 9: AMAZON
Embrace the local culture with visits to riverside communities, meeting the resilient people who call the Amazon home. Engage in traditional activities, experiencing their way of life firsthand. Afterward, journey through furos, water passages, to access remote corners of the rainforest. Discover the diversity of the ecosystem as you venture deeper into its heart. Feast on a delicious dinner back at the lodge, recounting the day's adventures under the starlit Amazonian sky.
DAY 10: Amazon - Manaus
Conclude your Amazonian escapade with a sunrise canoe excursion, absorbing the enchanting morning ambiance of the rainforest. After breakfast, bid farewell to Juma Amazon Lodge and navigate back to Maçarico River. Your journey culminates as you arrive in Manaus, carrying with you the memories and experiences of an authentic, sustainable Amazonian adventure. Upon arrival in Manaus you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
